afishel: Humm, maybe he just didn't absorb all of his yolk sack.

Um, he pipped late yesterday evening, you could just see where he had pecked, you could see the shell kinda raised up. This morning he had kinda made a bigger hole where I could see his beak.

today is lockdown for the first of two hatches. the next ones dont go to lockdown till friday. i have one little ee egg going today hope it hatches and is a hen.

on friday i have 7 serama eggs and 3 marans eggs going into lockdown but i dont have much hope for the marans to hatch, from my candleing i just dont think they are going to make it. but the eggs are so dark i couldnt tell for sure so i left them in. on the plus side i am expecting eggs in the mail this week

Here is the lil' chickie!

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy is the mother she's a White Silkie X Sultan bantam - the father was my Blue Jersey Giant!

This chick isn't a bantam .... it was WAY TOO BIG FOR IT'S EGG!
He has a muff and feathered feet, and he may also have a top hat!

AHHH thats awesome I was thinking that baby should be helped soon BUT that precious baby did it on its own LOL

ANd your baby keets are adorable !! THese are lavenders? I saw some white ones last week! it is funny how they are white and stripped but will be lavenders

Yes those are Lavender Keets, I got the eggs from my friend some of hers are Lavender Pied!

They're really pretty. Maybe I'll have a few Lav/Pied ones!

Um, she is a mutt. I'm pretty sure he dad was a Buttercup X Polish and he mom??? She hatched out last Septemeber and started laying a few months ago. She has 3 other sisters.
This little chick is SO ADORABLE!

I'll post more pictures once she fluffs out!
