I look forward to chick pics!I let my new Phoenix hen brood her eggs although I kept it at 4 eggs since this will be my first time and hers. Candled the eggs today and they are ready to pip probably will have babies tomorrow or next day.
This should be interesting of how my flock will react to them.
I'm sorry. We get so attached to our critters. I'm glad you got a couple eggs to carry on her line. I candled all of mine tonight and seen movement in every egg and the air-sac is growing. This is the first time I've marked the air-sac progress. I am so egg-cited(I know, I know lol) that I'll at least have my girls' chicks in my yard soonI lost my 2 1/2 yr old welsummer (Piper) today to the heat, I added 2 of her eggs to the incubator. she was a lovely lady!![]()
