My Speckled Sussex pen is done except the wire skirt and trench! I started the nest box, it needs a lid and the board to attach it to the coop, plus a coat of paint! Almost done, then those birds that need a grow out pen will have one. Woot! If I can finish tomorrow , I will move the birds
We will all be happy about that. Oh yeah, and I need to put a light in for them. Progress!

I candled eggs last night, bad news on my end, only one of the 6 eggs was a positive developer, a BB marked egg which I am assuming is Buff Brahama. I threw out two silkie (s) eggs, and left all three BB eggs in hopes they are just slow on the roll. I however have been working so much I forgot that my silkies from Nat in the WYG swap thread were due..... came home last night to three silkie babies! YAY!

Congrats on the eggs from Nat. I haven't been able to hatch any eggs from her and man did I try. I have Black Split eggs in the incubator from her now. I'm hoping this is my change in luck.

I was looking at the swap partner's page for the eggs that came today. (I don't know if the eggs are pure or mix. I originally signed up for 1 pure and 2 mix but was told 1 partner must be pure then the other 2 could be pure or mix). My pure eggs wouldn't be pure until the end of the month. If they were from one of the pure breeds this person listed I am so excited. If they are mixes they will be in the laying flock.

So my eggs have finally been shipped. So all of u still looking for a set of eggs be on the look out. To my partner I am very sorry it took so long. I tried to make up for it with extras. I hope u have room.
