Contest Details:
This is a contest to see who has the MOST SPECTACULAR CHICKEN PHOTO.
The winner of the contest will receive 24 CUSTOM EGG CARTON LABELS, designed by me and each of TWO WINNERS, collaboratively!

The Rules:
1. The bird(s) can be of any age/breed/gender. We are an equal-opportunity contest.
2. Photos may be submitted March 24-March 31, 2010. Photos entered after March 31st will not be considered in the judging, but admired for their artistic value alone.
3. Maximum photos per entry: ONE (please put the name & breed of chicken on your photo for ease of reference)
4. Maximum entries per member: THREE.
5. Maximum number of birds per photo: none.
6. Voting will occur April 1st-April 3rd.
7. Members may cast only one vote.
8. On April 1st, my DH and I will decide upon the top FIVE photo entries and create a VOTING POLL in a separate thread.
9. On April 4th (Easter Sunday) I will announce the TWO WINNERS.

How the judging works:
1. I will do the preliminary judging with my DH and will select the Top FIVE entries.
2. Preliminary judging will be based upon the following criteria:
a) The chicken/rooster itself must be of substantial interest. For purposes of preliminary judging, SPECTACULAR means: beautiful, pretty, regal, quirky, funny, unusual, absurd, interesting OR otherwise distinctive;
b) To a lesser extent, the quality and/or creativity of the picture will be taken into account (ie: if your spectacularly beautiful chicken photo is very blurry or too far away to see clearly, youre not likely to be in the top five). You dont have to be a professional photographer, but we dont want to have to imagine what your chicken may look like if it were a better picture.
c) On April 1st the top 5 entries will be submitted to the BYC community for voting!

NOTE: This contest is sponsored by ADozenGirlz, a Golden Feather Member, NOT by BYC. The interpretation of the rules and any judgment calls necessary to be made will be interpreted at the sole discretion of ADozenGirlz.
