Hi! Last weekend I dragged my husband across the state to get 2 silkies and 5 showgirl chicks. They are different ages but fairly young. In the pen with some of them was an adorable creature that I fell in love with. A snuggly serama (I am in love...). The breeder said she thinks it is a "he" and he is fine with the silkies/showgirls. I have no idea of his age. He is definately older than the others though. He sleeps and cuddles with them. I have noticed he is wanting to be the "boss" and some start things with him, othes he slightly picks on.
Should I seperate them? I don't have a girlfriend for him at this time. I was going to keep him near the other chicks but just seperate? I have six 8-week old wyandottes and ameraucana's in the coop right now. They are not used to one another yet though.
Are there any experts out there who can guess the age? I keep asking the breeder the ages of the serama and some of these chicks but I think my questions are getting missed in my emails.
Any other advice that can be thrown in would be greatly appreciated!
