Serama Bantam My first house chicken

Today she is going out for awhile. I noticed yesterday her comb and wattles and face turned bright red, this is a sign she is going to lay a egg, I guess, so I put a little nest box in her cage. She is 9mths, not sure when Serama's start laying?

She is cute, congrats!

All of my serama's do live in our barn under heat lamps and do just fine here in NC, we even got down in the 20's last night. However, my laundry room has been turned into our brooder room.

It is currently full of two different brooders of serama's, one has 6 week olds in it and the other has two week olds in it.

They are probably my last hatches of serama's for awhile, currently focusing on my bantam orpingtons.

I have got to get me some of these little things.
I know they can't take cold, but how are they in the heat? We have brutal summers down here-does that bother them?

I do have a few of them in individual pictures on the serama thread, but here are a couple of group shots.

15 day olds- I'm pretty sure the little brown one is going to be a cockerel, arrghh.
