Question. As the weather is heating up here in California. This past week was over 100. Yesterday and Today is 105.

I have 4 Serama Chickens that I would like to give better water so they can hydrate more due to the high heat levels. My Serama is like family, I prized them very high. They are class A and C.

What is the best and safest electrolytes water that I can give to my Serama Chickens? 3 hen and 1 rooster :)

Tractor Supply or any feed store will have electrolytes. You can get the ones with vitamins in them for a little extra boost. I don't think there is a "best" and if they are made for poultry then they will all be safe. You add the powder to their water. Make sure you give your birds some deep shade. We've been talking about misters lately. People use them to help cool their birds. Home Depot sells one for about $8 that you hook up to a hose. In dry climates they can make a significant dent in the ambient temp.
