Serama chicks available soon (central NJ)

I also have a silkie that was hatched 3/2 (6 1/2 weeks). we haven't integrated it yet. I am hoping it is a hen otherwise it has to go back to the farm. We have it out with us whenever we can and in a small indoor coop in a room with the other chickens. It does not shut up! peep peep peep constantly. We gave it a mirror so it has a "friend."

We have the Serama hen with her new chick in a large plastic tote. We put a cat bed and its blanket next to the tote on the side where the other 2 sleep. It crawled under the blanket and went to sleep when it was time. I have sent a blood sample to be DNA tested to determine the
sex.

Oh my, so cute!!!! :). I love the set up :). I hear you on the rooster thing :). I love the name Daisy as well, she looks like a little chica girl :).
I did a DNA test for my first 2 chicks back in 2014 (blood feathers). I have no faith in it as both came back as female when one was actually a rooster (grew comb, streamers, larger wattles and started crowing....loudly!!!!). Good luck and Happy Spring :)

Oh my! May I ask what lab you used? That's the first time I've heard about the wrong result. They're supposed to be 99.9% accurate.

I mailed it yesterday in NJ. It is going to Florida. They say it takes 2 to 5 days after they receive it. I think they send the results by email and you can also log into the account online.

The lab test came back this week. It was 7 days from when it went into the mailbox to when the results were posted online.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!
