Hello! I have 1 serama named Darlin (Hen, around 1 year old) and she currently lives in our basement, i know that sounds a bit weird, but she has a quite big area and its decently warm! she lives next to some baby chicks who cant really go outside yet as their a bit young. anyway, darling doesnt have a coop, she does have a big area and goes outside every once in a while, like 20 minutes every other day, but its a bit small for my liking and id like to upgrade it, i want to make a outdoor coop but i dont see many options for seramas online, i know that it isnt to different, you make a coop, predator proof it, make it in a nice area and thats that, (we are getting more seramas sometime soon, she wont be lonely, dont worry.) but i was wondering if anyone else has tips for making a coop for her, i know lots of people take them indoors but that isnt really a option to do for us. I plan on making her a nesting box with *height; 16”. Width; 22” . Length; 25”* is that alright? Some tips and maybe a length for a run for her would be nice! I have a coop for big ones, but i want to make sure i make her a good size that fits her perfectly. Thanks!

I have Seramas. Only one at this current time. She stays with my other 2 banties, and 3 large fowl chickens. Now that the temps are dropping in my area, they all will go into their winter housing,,,,, inside my garage loft. They get 12 hours of timed electric light, and food and water available all the time.
The LF would be able to tolerate the cold,, but my Serama is too small to endure it. I don't want to chance her being found freeze-dried in the morning. The person from whom I acquired my Seramas, keeps her batch of Seramas inside her garage during winter also.
My neighbor that also keeps Seramas, and other chickens does have a heater in his outdoor coop during winter.

Bottom line,,,,,,, coop for Seramas, and all other chickens can be same.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:
