This is from the Serama Council of North America's website: SCNA is dedicated to the introduction and promotion of Serama to the poultry world at large.

I totally understand. And I admit that the sentence "I love seramas" sounds 100% correct. But its possible that in a few years "a flock of seramas" may sound just as wrong as "a flock of sheeps".​

Why would the plural be "serama"?
Which language are other (imported) words ending on "a" that have the same word for plural and singular?

Words ending on -a are plural in ancient latin but the singular is ending on -um in those cases.
eg datum => data
