Serama Hatch-A-Long!!

Pics
Is ur just me or are Seramas harder to hatch? I have 3 chicks, but one started to zip and stopped. I helped it out, but it was very weak. Now it is resting. Kinda funny!

It looks like I have been missing out on hatches...

Seramas are definitely harder to hatch. I think the smaller egg size just makes for less wiggle room with humidity. I hope your chick pulls through! I give weak chicks vitamin water mixed with hard boiled yolk and plain yogurt if I have it to a runny consistency and dip their beak into it. It works really well. Congrats on the chicks!!

I love everyone's seramas! My friend gave me one of her roosters and now I'm addicted! I went to a show and bought 2 pullets. I also got a pair from a breeder. I will be hatching seramas for New Years.

Fun! The new Years hatch is coming up! I wonder if my girls will lay some eggs for me. I just sold a bunch of pairs and lost some to a family of raccoons : ( Everyone is a bit stressed right now.

If you have any photos, we'd love to see your new birds!

Sorry about the birds that got taken by raccons. I had that same problem last year. My avatar shows all my seramas on the roost.
I will post more pics later. My phone won't let me.

My Serama chicks are 5 days old and their is one that is highly aggressive. He has pecked at one of the Serama chicks eye so much it is bleeding. He goes around ripping the feather from the other chicks heads. What should I do??

Defiantly separate the aggressive chick before any other get hurt. I'm not sure what do do next. Anyone else have any advice

I'd give him a stern talking to! I have put a divider in the brooder before to keep weaker chicks from being run over, just have to make sure they can all eat, drink, get warm and get out of the heat. Good luck with that little bugger, I hope it outgrows it.

I see them now... Very pretty : )
Thank you
