Usually this bird fights the males and it’s neck feathers lift up. I’ve always assumed it’s a male, but the behavior is a bit off to be male.
In comparison to my definite splash roo. They’re the same age, hatch mates. The other hens don’t have such large combs, but I’ve had a female with a giant comb in the beginning as well in the past.
And my only other male from the bunch. So these three came out with big combs early on
This is how the other females look, they have tiny combs. This clutch came out in April.
But I’ve have it before where I was raising two females, but thought one was male only because of the giant comb.
So what do you think the silver serama is?
