    Just wondering if anyone can shed some light before I possibly breed him

    he looks a little big to be a serama?
    unless he is one of the larger classes
    did you weigh him?
    or put him next to another bird that you know the breed for comparisons?

    He's bigger than my other Serama , but he's a he! The cocks are usually bigger, no?

    The picture is up close though, next to a seven (I think) pound feeder. Maybe he looks bigger than the pictures suggest.

    I ain't weighed him, I will.

    I will also get a pic of him next to my other two Serama, who just started laying quail size eggs.

    Roo - 451 gms.

    Pullet 1(black) - 342 gms.

    Pullet 2 (mottled) - 392 gms. Think I felt she still had an egg in there.

    Pullet 1 Egg 19.1 gms

    Hi! Is he upright most of the time? He should have his chest stuck out and his head back a bit and his wings pointing more or less straight down. So, hard to say from the pictures... A good Serama cock will have the back of his head nearly touching their tail. While they are standing around. Your guy is looking around and at the ground so I can't tell....

    Here are a few of my young cockerels for comparison. They will fill out more in the chests as they get older.
