Serama piped 24 hours ago

Broke shell on it's own 24 hours ago, no progress since. has fine breathing hole, is hitting shell with top of head and chriping. Are they supposed to be able to turn and hit shell with beak? I don't think it can turn at all. Today is day 22. One of it's clutch mates broke shell last night and was out totally this morning. Humidity is 72%. a bunch of my bigger birds hatched out yesterday and day before. Have been removed the big guys from bator so this little guy is alone with the other serama that hatched. How long to wait before I help?
Shell is broke out in center so I don't know if chick is malpositioned. I did read the Step by Step Guide to Assisting - just not sure when to start.

He will get it right soon. I just hatched 3 chicks this week and it is so hard to wait, I know. Maybe he started at the bottom of the air sac. My last one pipped and then didn't do anything until the next day and it took him/her a full 5 hours to get out once he started. I even thought he was cracking around the wrong way but eventually he stretched out and POP came right out.

My hubby peeps at them in a sort of whistle to get them going but I guess if you have another chick in there, that would do it too.

Got it. It had pipped in the wrong place and the membrane had shrink wrapped. Opened up the shell and wet the membrane with q-tips and it pushed out on it's own. Back in the bator now
