We had a horrible incident yesterday evening. My daughter's little banty hen, that she's had for 3 years, was killed by a fox :'( For my daughter, this was no different than the death of a dog. That hen was her baby and security through some hard times. We are now left with our 2 year old Serama rooster. He's lost without a buddy, and we certainly aren't ready for a new hen. As of now, my daughter feels like she's not even wanting chickens again. It's not fair for him to be lonely. He keeps crowing and looking for his hen. It's awful :( He's a VERY sweet rooster. He's never ever been aggressive with anyone. I want him to go only to a home where he is safe, and loved like he has been here. It's hard to let him go, but it's only fair that he has some buddies again. His name is Pixie. I'm willing to drive him aways to a good home. He's also pictured in my profile picture.

Your little rooster is gorgeous. I live in Davisburg, MI, and drive right by Swartz Creek all the time, as I attend MSU. My coop is empty at the moment, but I'll be filling it over the next few weeks as my finals end. I'd love to give him a new home, if he's still available.
