These are my first seramas , I'm hatching quite a few from them . The lighter pullet hasn't
started laying yet, but the other one is laying pretty well .

This is Arthur, he is a spangle golden duckwing at 11 months old. I got him as a gift.

This is my favorite Lancelot, he is a laced cocoapop silver duckwing at 7 months old. I bought him from Jerry S, he is my first serama.

Serama shows are fun! I tried doing a Cull Serama show but hardly anyone entered.

I guess they don't want to give their birds a bad reputation.

Well, most serama we all buy from top breeders are some what have flaws (culls???) other wise they would keep them for their breeding pens. The only time you get a top nott bird is if you are willing to pay top dollars for them which is around 150+ each or a good friend with one of them. How many breeder sell their best birds? I realize that when i start out this hobby. As a beginer, not all of us will spend that kind of money for a bird but most likely will go with something a little less expensive and work with what we have to improve them to the standard. All top breeders have been there and done that through all the yrs that is why they charge so much for their top birds. As you all can see, both of my birds do have flaws that need to improve through selective breeding and culling for the best. Hope one of these day my flock will produce something good to take to shows with.
