Looking to read back up on seramas as I've avoided them for some time I now am ready to get a pair but I want to get some facts and advise before hand just so there is little surprise when I get them and they have a good life here

I know that there is no recognised colour for the serama like there is with most other breeds but I want to know what colour should there legs be?

How many points should be on there comb and what shape should their waddle be?

Is there beak supposed to be any certain colour?

Is the further the tail stands up the better the quality cause I see pics of these birds with their tail almost touching their heads but whe u go to shows or private breeders they never or rarely have ones like that

Are they hard to hatch out in an incubator or are they better to be hatched under a hen?
Is there any difference between the American standard and the European/english/Irish standard?

Is there any other facts that I should know about this breed before hand as I'd like to know about the breeds before I buy them cause I dont want them getting I'll or depressed cause I do something wrong

Is there any serama experts on this plat form that I could dm?

Please bare in mind I dont know an offal lot about this breed cause i wasnt keen on getting any til now so please do their me apart for any silly question that I ask
But cheers to anyone that can help me out :bow

I have two Serama pullets. Legs should be yellow, not sure about beak color, 5 points on comb, wattles that are round and smooth, upright tails (think 90°).
I can look at the American standard for you. As with all breeds, there are differences between the American and European standards.

Don't forget that the pictures you see of Seramas tend to be done on a table top or show surface. From birds trained to pose. Their backs are very short which allows that very upright posture, but when they aren't show boating they can have a more relaxed stance. At least mine do, not that they are super showy or anything but they are much more upright when they want to impress a hen or intimidate another roo.

I don't know very much about Seramas. But, I have heard that people say that if you are incubating them they usually hatch at day 19. :)

My Seramas are from a show line here in Louisiana they are American and I noticed that the males hold posture more naturally than females

Also both my parent birds have yello legs but they have produced a chick with green or willow legs before she’s now a year old hen and is to large to show but is a great mom
