Watch out, there is very few pure Seramas in US, most were mixed with OEG's or Japs.

Since Seramas attract lots of new chicken enthusiasts, lots of dishonest scammers are taking advantage of the gullible.

Since Seramas are not a recognized breed in US yet, there is no standart.

So if somebody tries to sell you "show quality Seramas" beware.

There are 2 leading breeders in US (Louisiana and Wisconsin) who both claim their Seramas are the "true ones".

Also be aware that Serama eggs ship very poorly, most of Serama sellers will not tell you that.

Actually there ARE quite a few seramas that have not been crossed in the US. And there IS a standard, but the APA/ABA have not accepted it yet. http://scnaonline.org/standards_and_judging.php
