Seramas, can I let my 17 adult Seramas into a small fenced yard to forage? Currently in coop and run and no forage left. Always access to food, water

I I put treats and hay into their run. Will they remember to go back in coop at night? Coop and run is connected to small garden area fenced in.

If they have been in the coop their whole life they will go back to it no issue in my experience you probably won’t even need to goad them they will naturally return to their roost when darkness comes
All but one hen were born in coop and I agree that chances are very high they will go right on in coop at darkness and I will be right there.

If you let them out, you need to supervise them. There's so many predators that will quickly turn them into a meal.

I had my own experience with this and of course I couldn't save them nor could my standard chickens.

Hawks in my area love Seramas. You should have protection from aerial predators. They are just like other chickens. They go home to roost.
i have hawks too…I can cover this small area.
Thank you
