Hi, I have four Wyandottes, 3 Columbians and a golden laced. They're absolutely wonderful, but I'd love some Seremas or Japanese bantams too, and as I am making a super big run for them, that's now possible! They have their own coop (which is built), but for two seasons of the year, they'd be enclosed in a 14' by 24' run with the larger chickens (the other two seasons being allowed to free range). Is this possible, or should I get a larger chicken, such as a silkie? Thanks :)

Seramas need special care.
They need a heat lamp at a certain degrees.
And they probuly wouldn't do good with huge Wyandotte's.

For bantams you could start with old English game they are great birds and tend to be higher in a flock of bantams.

I have one Oegb in a flock of standers...she's 2nd in pecking order!!!!!!!

Wow! I'll research them! Thanks

Seramas are also very expressive to buy my friend got them 25$ apiece. The eggs are really hard to hatch so hatching pout of question.

I am going to try a broody hen with seramas eggs and see why happens when my oegb goes broody again.
