((Serious Gardening))

I think mine is the Bocking 14. I know for sure it's Bocking, one of the sterile seeded ones. My chickens have too much greenery to choose from, they're too picky now to eat the comfrey. When they were able to reach it some they nibbled on it from time to time but never really ate it up. I think the leaves are too fuzzy for their tastes.
Mine don't eat it down to nubbins or anything, they have lots o'green here too, but everyday they graze on some of the comfrey.

My garden is modest, but I've worked really hard on it. Here are a few pics from today.

Baby Brandwine tomatoes

I'm starting in on this thread pretty late, but wanted to be in the conversation with a bunch of gardeners. I'm in my second year of gardening. I have experimented with Aquaponics, then we moved. I want to do that again now that we are sorta settling into the new place. I have several videos of my gardens and chickens stuff in my YouTube account.

Okay you twisted my arm here are a couple pics from this morning.

I have planted several tire towers in vining crops and love this, they are in w/ the chickens as you can see, the chickens haven't bothered them at all and not a squash bug in sight. I will do more of these next year.

This was going to be the summer run for the chickens it is to the east of the old chicken house so gets the most shade, but instead we re did the entire coop set up.

This garden has squash (zuch) asparagus, tomatoes, cole, okra, beans

Okra, squash, toms, basil

toms, sweet potatoes, squash, borage, watermelon, peppers, beans

borage, toms, and squash. I want to plant a lot more borage next year where the chickens can eat it, it is so similar to comfrey, which they love, it may take the pressure off my poor eaten comfrey plants.

cuke jungle, zuch squash, okra, french melon

marigold, beans, morning glory, peppers, squash, toms, basil, malibar spinach, eggplant, but you can't see it in the pic

first ever ground cherry

eggplant

beans

luffa, supose to be edible if caught very young, this is way to big gonna be seeds and a washcloth

armenian cukes

not sure if this is just a weed or one of the medicinal herbs I planted, most didn't come up, I still have seeds and am going to try and winter sow them.

My garden is over 50 x 100 and I take care of it w/ myself a shovel and a dibbler.

Todays haul. The green beans aren't in the pic and the cukes and squash are just represented there were to many to fit in the pic (2, 5 gal buckets of cukes and 1 of squash.)

HOLY COW!!!!

Now THAT'S a garden!! Super impressive, and beautiful, too. Love the tire tower idea. Will have to look into the borage and comfrey for the chickens (?). Is that red hills okra (or something similar). Mine was supposed to be 6' tall, but instead it's really short. Still producing, though. Thanks for posting the pics
