Seriously? NOBODY has Blue or Splash JBG's for sale?? NOBODY?!?!UPDATE

OK, its driving me crazy now!! I have been looking everywhere for somebody who is willing to sell me a few Blue or Splash colored Jersey Giants! I have posted ad's, Ive searched the interweb- I've done all I can think of

! I dont have an incubator, and with my 5 kids, I dont have time to worry about eggs in the 'bator- I'm takin care of my other chicks too. I really want those elusive colors!!

I live in Nor Cali, I guess no one around me is into the JBG's. And yes, I've seen Maria Halls site. Gorgeous birds, I definately have some poultry envy over her flock!! Buuuuut, honestly, I just would never pay those prices! They're just chickens for goodness sake! I will state that I have the utmost respect for how long and hard she has worked on her flock, a lifetime in the making no less! I undrestand them being somewhat pricey, but seriously, I would have to be really rich to go there! Of course, I'm not looking for show quality, just eggs and cute pets.

I just cant believe NO ONE in Nor Cali has any chicks or hens they are willing to part with!! Dang it!!! They are so beautiful, I just want a few....

Anyone think they can help??

Have you checked the hatcheries? Meyer, Ideal, McMurray, Privett, My Pet Chicken, etc.....

Debi...last I checked the hatcheries don't have them either (otherwise I'd have them!

)

Suzette, Maria's Jersey Giants are the only one's I am familiar with, but if you hear of anyone else, please post it. They are tough to find, so a thread with any links or siggestions would be helpful for many!

There is a JBG thread, Kathyinmo started it. And somewhere, amidst all the posts, are 2 or maaaaayyyyybe 3 names of other breeders, but they're no help to me because they are either: to far away, to expensive, or dont have what I'm looking for. Aaaahhh!

Surely someone out there in cyberworld has the ability to help me further my current JBG addiction!!!

I will state, for the record, if I can get any kind of decent line going- not necesarrily show type, but decent, of Blue and Splash Jerseys.... I will do my best to share them with like minded enthusiasts at a fair and LOW cost, so we might ALL enjoy having these majestic, gentle birds in our yards!! (yes, I love them THAT much!!) I might have to resort to breeding Blacks to Whites and so on, but I will do it!! I WILL have Blue and Splash Jersey Giants!!

ETA- I've tried all the hatcheries- none of them carry the color variations

Try ebay for eggs. Anytime you have to ship chicks you are looking at expense, but shipping eggs is less expensive.

Also, perhaps duane urch has them?

Welcome to my world. I have been looking for white silkies for as long as I can remember. I do NOT want 25, so hatcheries are out. I found one gal locally that had three, I bought them and two died and the third is the most ridiculous looking bowl legged limping creature I have ever seen. Named Swiffer. She crowed. 8 months old. Help me.

Sandhill Preservation has blue and black chicks but they are straight run. I have blues and splash but mine are young and just starting to lay. RIght now I am not selling any eggs or birds I want to build up my own flock first. I have several in the incubator right now and my daughter is trying to hatch some as well. I did have one little biddie hatch from under one of my silkies 2 days ago. Cutest little thing following his adopted mama around
