Set 14 eggs tonight

I have used a hovabator and that thing was awfull worst money i have ever spent temps fluctuste 95-105. I have a Brinsea eco 20 and its great perfect temp i have a hygrometer and right now it reads 33%. I dont know how accurite it is. its digital accurite from walmart. I wish we didnt need humidity. I live in Colorado so its hard to get humidity high. I do what the instructions say 1 trough for the first 18 then both for the last 3. Most of the time fertlite is the problem.

Common lets keep this thread alive!!! I want to candle so bad but not yet! My temps have been perfect and then theres humidity....

I will probably candle this weekend, gives them a week in, so far my temps stay steady normally around 99.5-100.0, today for some reason it has made it up to 101.3, so everything is good with temps, as far as humidity my incubator was at 40% with NO WATER right before I put eggs in. I added like a tablespoon of water yesterday evening to the bottom, I did that roughly every other day on first hatch after like day 6. So I am thinking I am fine on humidity. I expect to candle this weekend and have double digits GOOD!!

Everything still good. I'm not sure what thermometer to trust though. My digital reads 99 and my other reads 100.8 ish that's the brinsea one that came with it though. That one is so sensitive take off the lid the thermometer goes down to 88 degrees.

I keep an eye on my temps when I am home, and during the day my wife check a couple times. I think its been pretty steady between 99 and 100. Havent checked humidity since setting them, guessing its fine

Candled eggs this saturday, day 6, 12 were definately developing, and the other 2 looked like they might have been(a little hard to tell, but I think they are good). So its looking like I have a chance at all hatching

This is my 2nd hatch attempt. Got 25% hatch out of first attempt(2 of 8), should have had a 3rd(I think this one didnt get out of the shell from me opening the incubator to get the other 2 chicks out) I think my impatience did it

This time I am not opening the incubator till they all get out. Lesson learned. I was HAPPY to see that all 9 eggs from my 2 hens and the roo in my avatar pic are developing , I cant wait to get a chick from MY OWN flock

Not sure what a red star and my roo will look like, but should be a nice color egg. Well, not candling again till lockdown, so I am hoping for a full house of developing eggs at that point

There hatching there hatching!!! 2 eggs were infirtil so removed got 12 eggs in. One egg has already hatched so cute. There it 2 pips 1 almost to zipping. So happy Tripled my record!!! the great thing is its a day early already thats great.
