I dont think anyone would know what to do with that crack! Candled it 5 mins ago and its still wriggling.

I meant we weren't seeing any indications of life. all the but the silkie eggs were very dark and we could not see the veins.

And wow thats a big crack!

Okay, so just had to post this before I went to bed cause it is very exiting! We candled the eggs it appears a few more are growing! They still look a bit dead so we decided to open one of them and we found veins and what looked like the heart. I feel bad but I am hoping that means a few more are growing. And on another exiting note I decided to do the silkie egg and I saw a heart beat!!! This is so exiting! I am now hoping for maybe I will get more then one chick. Oh and I noticed veins in the other silkie egg. Not as prominant as the first, but still there. Will check them again in around 6 - 7 days.

Lol. I'd use wax then tape over the wax, take off the tape at lockdown maybe. It needs to be sealed to keep bacteria out somehow.

Possibly but it's highly doubtful that the egg will hatch without some sort of interventiion. It's a kind of 'here goes nothing' situation I think.

Im going to google some hints on what to do and if theres anything i can do that is! Totally my fault, these runner duck eggs are so big and with my call ducks squashed in i just cracked it with the bars! Ok here goes nothing! Lol....

Ive put some clear tape on it, ive shined a light on it and you cant see through it. Baby is still moving up to now....(fingers crossed) dont have much hope once it starts filling the shell!:/

Mine are due on the 13th.
