We set our first eggs in our incubator today. It arrived Thursday and has been holding at a steady 99.5. It is a Hova Bator Genesis 1588.
We set a total of 41 eggs. 33 of our own barn yard mixes and 8 for a friend (4 EE's and 4 mixes). The 33 we set were sired by our Delaware/RIR cross rooster. The hens are Barred Rocks, Welsummers, Black Sexlinks, Delawares, Red Sexlinks, and Silver Spangled Hamburgs. Should make for some interesting crosses.
Fingers are crossed that this first hatch goes well.
