Here are the parents of the BLRWs you are about to hatch. Mama is busy setting, as you see, and due to hatch on your son's birthday. I haven't even candled her eggs, since yours are fertile. The Black girl is very mischievous (and would not let me photograph her!). We had to cover their pen with netting to keep her in! Every day she adds an egg to her sister's nest, and I have to check through every one of them to find the one unmarked egg. They are all three very sweet.

These three are all splash silkies and I am hoping for one roo and two hens. Of course with silkies, it takes MONTHS for them to show their gender. If that happens, I can send her eggs and pray she isn't as much of a failure at hatching silkies as I have been!!

That is a GREAT idea, Deb! Send Cyn some Silkie eggs. Do it secretly though, so she can have a surprise! She loves surprises, too!
