Set 86 Eggs Tonight *FORTY-FOUR Hatched--Hatch Over *

I predict the New Hampshires may possibly pip soon, at least on day 20. The Barred Rocks will likely be a full 24 hours after that. That is my prediction.

Cyn, I have 9 of CPArtists' blue wheaten Ameraucanas at day 20, so Im IBWing right along with you.

Them's some early pips youve got there!

I sure didn't expect Day 19 pips at all. That keeps me from wondering if those two are still alive, at least. Today has been so weird, losing Charlotte, then thinking Sunny had a stroke and now, my splash Ameraucana, Snow, is having a hard time coming into lay. She's had a very long vacation and now, she is straining, panting and her abdomen is a bit swollen. Off to give her penicillin to see if it will help-already gave her emergency calcium. Today is all over the place!

Good luck with your BW Amer eggs, Kathy!

Cyn, I didnt know you lost Charlotte, Im so sorry. I hope these little peepers help to fill the void.

Just got power back on after 5 1/2 hours and babies hatching in the bator! Went out at 1:30 a.m. and DH already had the generator and extension cords ready to provide power to both bators, the brooder and the Firetower where there are four youngsters.

One porcelain is almost fluffed out, a mille fleur d'anver has just hatched, four others are pipped out of the nine. The only pip I can see in the standard size babies is one EE (or Ameraucana, don't know which it is). Today is Day 20.

Two porcelains and one mille fleur out now.
