“Ground stood hard as iron, water like a stone,” and the quail eggs are frozen too! I was happy with keeping the water flowing this weekend, I wasn’t going to worry about eggs! I think I’ll try baking them (cracked shells) whole, blenderize them, and feed them back to the birds in small quantities, not sure it will work but I’ll let you know! And yes, that is -25F for the temperature, not Celsius or windchill. Happily it only lasts a couple days here, back in MN it would stay there all of January, and we just did life like it was normal, because it was!
