Set 86 Eggs Tonight *FORTY-FOUR Hatched--Hatch Over *

Me, too, Nick. They're being very naughty, making me wait and worry!

Checked the remaining BLRW that wasn't pipped and it has been gone for a few days apparently. The other one is pipped and I'm waiting for that one to hatch and two EEs and the BCM egg to pip. This bator has just four eggs in it total now.

The NHs are making larger pips now. Still, no blue Rocks or BRs in that bator are pipped, at least that I can see.

One of these little EEs has an interesting trait. Kathy, do you have any feather legged EEs in your pen?

I did a double take when I pulled this one out of the bator.

Removed one deceased EE from the bator. The last BLRW is zipping. Other than that, there is one EE not pipped and the Olive Egger (BCM egg) in bator #1, so just three eggs till that one will be empty. Dang, I'd be tempted to move the others to Bator #1 after the NHs hatch.

Perhaps I should be culled. Does that disease produce carriers?

Deb, I don't have a cabinet incubator. I'm using two Hovabators and am hand turning all the eggs in one of them, since I have only one turner. That may be a PAIN, but there was no choice. At first candling, I'm sure that I'll be removing quite a few eggs and the number I must turn by hand will most likely be decreased.

You get a better hatch rate by hand turning

In my experiance, but that is with duck so don't count on it! ;P

So, who are the parents? Did I know you did Olive Eggers? I can't remember! I'm getting senile!

I actually did hand turn the eggs in Bator #1 and used a turner in Bator #2. I really don't like hand turning, generally.
