This is the second year that i have done it. just got into becouse of my girls wanted some chickens for the farm. So we got some and then they wanted to hatch their own eggs and we did that and sold them and actully made the money to feed them part of the year but they lost interest at the end on last summer and i ended up taking it over for a hobby and found alot of folks that would rather buy chicks local and of course at a lower price that help also for them but then they end up buying more LOL. This year just started to play around with the humidity factor and found my space for the great hatch ratio before i was only getting about 50 %. second hatch for the above 50 the last hatch a week ago was at 93 % with 67 chicks. one tray in the incubator.laying them flat and hand turning the 3 times a day.
