Set eggs 5/18 - whose with me?

I haven't really checked on them much other tham maybe once a day look at the temp. I just finished a very staggered hatch that went from March thru the end of April. I hatched 36 chicks about every week had a hatch date from 4/1-4/28. So I think this time I'm just not as excited in fact I a bit exhausted but I had really bad like 0 hatched with MPC eggs so I called to let them know as I noticed alot of other had the same complaint. I didn't ask them for anything I just wanted to let them know that maybe they should consider a new supplier of hatching eggs. The offered me a 50% off their eggs for education but I said thank you but I have enough eggs now. Well almost a month later they contacted me again to say that they have a different supplie for their eggs for education and that they have been having great success with it and they would send me a dozzen for free.....How could I say no to that..I should have I have way too many chickens but of course I said yes and they sent me not 12 but 17. I have a guy who lives on a farm that will take them from me if I hatch more than I can keep so I just went ahead and set them. Can't wait to see what happens....I'm not going to candle till day 10.

. My husband says we will have to replace the tile in the floor because I keep going in to check on the new family members. We put 36 in the incubator on 5.19.12. We have 13 bo, 12 pearl white leghorn and 11 surprises that we got from some friends. I am glad that I have a "support group". Good luck to everyone.

Can I play along even though by 'setting' eggs it means under my broody Welsummer that has taken over one of the nest boxes?

I felt compelled to place one of her eggs under her as she is setting on the nest with all the other girl's eggs in it. It only seemed fair if she did all the work.

Haha so glad to see so many hatchers! I'm also going to be placing some eggs under my broody BS turkey that should be here by Thursday. Got them from a fellow BYC member and am SUPER excited at the possibility of hatching out some Royal Palms!! - Ahem. But, in total I have over 104 ( to date ) eggs set within a week of each other. Anyone else got 'staggered' hatches?

Currently, aside from the eggs on day 3, I have 2 Grey hens sitting on a split clutch of SSH's. I have my broody white claret hens sitting on a batch of their own eggs... They're sharing a nest as well! My hatch hen is on a small clutch of three. Between the hens I have approximately 75 eggs. OH and some guinea eggs due the same week as the SSH's... Going to have a hatch a week through the rest of this summer for the most part.

I am new to this whole incubating eggs thing! I have 7 Rhode Island Red hens and borrowed a rooster for a few months last month I tried hatching out a couple dozen eggs and got nothing so I am trying again on Saturday the 19th I started another set, I have given the rooster back and have been adding to the egss the last couple days. I tried to candle the last group but found it very difficult I am hoping after day 7 I will be able to see something..... If anyone has any suggestions for me that would be great!
