Set Eggs last night for a March 1st hatch... anyone else?

Well I set 9 eggs from my flock.

I candled and found 4 definite blood rings and one clear egg. That leaves me with 4. Hopefully they all hatch come March!

Sending good hatching vibes your way!

I also set some eggs, again! The first set I did a couple of weeks ago, my two year old turned it up and it went to 107. I ended up I loss every one of them. Now the second batch they don't seem to be growing.

I will give it a couple more days and I am done with hatching this year! I ended up ordering chicks instead this year. I know the little one is just being like mom, I even caught him trying to candle an egg, but I feel so bad for the little fuzzies in there when he kills them. I make hubby throw them out because I cant handle seeing the little ones that died.

I am a big wimp!

My 2 year old does well with holding the chicks, he loves them. So we will stick to ordering this year most likely. ugh kids you got to love them! lol

So far so good here. I had one with a blood ring and one is clear, but the other nine are developing. I was looking at one this afternoon (haven't had batteries for the good flash light for a few days) and saw a foot.....I started gushing.....lol.....my DH just laughs at me.
I am having to stay on top of my temps. I live in a 100 year old, drafty house and so the temp changes a lot. Other than that no problems (so far).

Candled my four remaining eggs, and I got four chicks swimming around in there. In two of them I saw a very distinct foot moving! This friday is lockdown, so far so good!

Locked down this morning, 9 mutt eggs. They are rolling and a spinning....now just to wait for a pip.
Happy hatching

We got a pip on the end of day 19 I believe. It's more on towards the bottom end of the egg, hopefully it hatches.
