WELCOME TO THE NEW ONES, HAPPY TO HAVE YOU ALONG!!!

OK, so took the coronation sussex egg out this morning, it was a dud!!!

the other 3 (lav orp) look good, just hard to tell cause they are brown eggs..........

HOWEVER, my humidity has dropped to 40. I know some people keep it at that, at this stage, but I like mine about 50.........trying everything to get it to go up a little>

I set eggs on 3/23 and will be setting more this week. I won the cochin auction on e-bay from Banjoejoe

I waited until the last five minutes and put in my bid. Someone tried to outbid me in the last minute, but they didn't make it. Ran the price up from $2 to $18, but I was okay with that. His chickens are awesome. I found someone selling bantam lavendar Ameraucana eggs so I got them to put with Mrs. Fluffy Puffy's. It's actually the stock she bought from, but there are some new breeders in the pen so I will be okay on that. I am saying I hope I have so many of these chicks running around here since they were so hard to find. My four little baby chicks moved to the big chick pen today!
I am hoping to win another auction in the morning....taking my computer along to church and will be frantically searching somewhere close to there for some WiFi. Keep your fingers crossed for me. If I get them, that only leaves one more chicken/color I want and I will be finished this year for getting my chickens together and ready to go next year!!!!! I am so excited.

YAY and congrats on winning that auction !!! Hoping you have a great hatch. I can't wait to see pics.

Awww was so hoping that sussex would surprise you. Oh well. Hope the rest make it to the end. I can't wait to see pics of everyone's peeps

I just candled and 26 out of 28 look like they're growing. 1 has a blood ring and 1 shows nothing. I'm not tossing anything yet. May wait till day 14 and if they still look the same will toss them two then. Humidity is hanging around 45. temp still 99-100. Yippee, so excited.

candled my eggs today as well, 1 with nothing, but not tossing it out yet! the rest all good! hopefully they make it through to the end, good luck everyone else!!

Sparrker, That is awesome! I'm glad to hear that I have been scared to candle again. I guess I will wait untill Wed (day 10) and try again I hope they still look good!

UPDATE! I put 23 more Blue Laced Red Wyandotte's in today and 4 more Gold Laced Brahma's. She is topped out now 42 EGGS wish me luck! I guess I will be buying a hatcher Incubator now.

I haven't candle any. I'll just wait till the 4th and see what happens. That humidity is a hard thing to keep constant. It's gone from 46 to 57. Most times it 55 though. The temps are pretty steady at 99.5. I had a laptop die on me and I'm thinking of taking the fan out of it and install in this incubator when this hatch is done.
