When I finally unplugged the incubator, I only had 4 eggs that didn't hatch out of 36. That's an 89% hatch rate. I'll be sure to "high-five" my roo.
I still had one with a huge chunk of shell stuck on the top/side of it's head. It was too heavy for the poor little thing to hold it's head up straight. It was walking in circles. I finally grabbed it and after inspecting it as close as I could, determined it was only stuck to the feathers, I gently pulled it right off. It took the chick a couple hours to walk a straight line after that. That one is named Mi Shell.
I opened the remaining eggs and three of the four appeared fully formed but had expired without pipping, the fourth had quit a while ago.
