Well, maybe by this time next year we will be able to hatch some of our own eggs too. Actually I HOPE to have chicken eggs by later summer.

oldno7ranch, how many do you have in the incubator right now?
One of my cochin bantam babies is OUT! LOL, and it wasnt the one I saw pipped either, though that ones making progress.
The egg wasnt pipped and a couple hours later I heard cheeping and there the little one was!

Three of the black cochin banty chicks are out.

One doesnt look quite right but I have had them like this before and they catch up.
Sort of bottom heavy and not moving as well. And a couple weeks later you cant tell that one from the others.
There are three more of the cochin eggs but 50 percent for shipped eggs isnt bad.
Waiting to see what other eggs hatch.

They are coming out like popcorn!! I have three cochin banties out and ended up slipping them into the brooder because they are MEAN, not just knocking eggs around but pecking. Then I for sure have one black (??a cross) and two blonde salmon faverolle crosses out. Plus tons of pips.

Well today is day 6 for my duck eggs. I just candled them for the first time and am really disappointed. 2 are not fertile, 2 have loose air cells, and 2 seem to be OK. Hope others are having more luck!!

Well, I have had a temperature spike in the incubator my duck eggs are in so I am probably in the same boat.

I guess we will see on the first ones in about a week.
Seven chicks out and four so far pipping.

Its difficult to remove my daughter from the room because she keeps wanting to look at the new chicks, lol. Of course she still spends a lot of time with our older ones. Its nice she likes something other than boys.

I have 32 and counting in the incubator of my pekin mallard cross babies, I found a extra in the pasture today. These are such adroable babies when they hatch I will send pics out. I will have 2 hatching everyday, I started on the 12th of march, so lots of hatching here!! And I have 36 chickens in the other bator due 4-15. LOL

You all sound like you are as addicted to hatching as I am.

I got my peacock eggs today, three of them, but two were completely smashed.

I am going to attempt to incubate the other egg but not getting my hopes up.
I think when its all said and done, I will have 11 chicks out of this hatch. Unless more pip.
