Set my first eggs

Veins are always a good sign! I don't know much about the exact counting...I usually have an "estimate" day for the hatch since I usually seem to keep my temps lower than they should be...GOOD LUCK!

day 10. out of 15 eggs set look like 2 have quit. they are pretty much clear. the other 13 have large dark shadows so i am assuming that they are still good. my light might not be bright enough, i can see some veins in some, and darker spots in them that appear to be moving.

I got my incubator and an egg turner for Christmas, and finally put some eggs in today! They are all mixes, and some of them will be the offspring of mixed breeds, but the new colors are such great surprises.

Wow! I have the same thing going on here! Incubator and turner for christmas! I got eggs from 2 different people around me that don't separate their birds in the winter so I will have silkie, cochin, polish, brahma, nh red, black austrolorp, game hen, and others all breeding together and making some really cool mixes of color and size that I just can't wait to see!

few more have quit. I know that I have 9 out of the original 15 that are still good and a couple that I am going to leave in for a couple more days. They are due to hatch on Friday.
