Set some eggs just now, due date 20th July.... anyone else setting just now? Hatch-Along

Egg 2 hatched this morning. It waited for me to get up!! lol I watched it pop out of there about 30 minutes after I got up. I'm assisting number 3 now and think I have a 4th starting to roll around in there.

Number 1 on left and number 2 on right.

Go slow, i mean really slow!! On the assisted hatch, don't feel pressure to rush it out. Relax, take deep breaths, be cool. Those 2 are so cute. If any of them have cords or whatever hanging out read Sally's article on that. I wish I took mine out of the incubator soon after they hatched & dipped it in iodine. They all died 48 hrs because it didn't totally heal. It was so sad with my last one because it just fell off & the site was looking good. I guess I didn't apply iodine soon enough. That's all I can think of. Remember to put bacitracin on the inner membrane to keep it from drying out & the chick getting stuck, it helped it stay moist & I was able to get a few hours of sleep while we both took a break

Thank you so much for the advice! I always welcome experienced help. It's really nerve wracking trying to figure out if this little guy is going to make it out. I had the bathroom all steamed up and hot earlier and DH didn't know what the heck was going on because I wasn't in the shower. lol It's been about 30 minutes since I've helped a little more with the shell. It's moving around in there and peeping. It doesn't seem to be trying to get out and about on it's own. I raised the humidity just a little, to 75, since I had to help it. The first one was out just an hour after it pipped the first time. What is a normal length of time between pip and zip? A friend has been helping me and says to help it along if it pips and does nothing more for over an hour. This one also isn't rocking the egg anywhere near like the other two did.
