Egg 2 hatched this morning. It waited for me to get up!! lol I watched it pop out of there about 30 minutes after I got up. I'm assisting number 3 now and think I have a 4th starting to roll around in there. Number 1 on left and number 2 on right.

Is it bad that my chick isn't standing yet? Super active and is drinking and excited over food when I point it out but can't stand up all the way. Its been well over 24 hours.

It might have a slipped tendon or spraddle leg which can be cured once all your hatching is done

The first two were early hatches. I was extremely surprised. I put the eggs in July 3 around 3 pm. So if I'm counting right today is day 21. I'm hoping that I'll have more pips and zips tomorrow. I've already got two more live chicks than I thought I would.

How many days past hatch day can they go?

Day 25! Someone in the July thread said they stopped incubatin at day 25, forgot about the egg, it hatched 2 days later!!!

I'm glad you're getting some hatches, how much of the shell is off the assisted hatch? You did good bumpin up the humidity to 75!

I'm going to get some rest too, I just have to turn my eggs & get some sleep until 3am when I have to check again. I'll be checking this thread when the rooster wakes me up at 6am. Saying little chicky prayers for all of you!!!

Woo hoo 25 days is good news! I have faith that I'll have a good hatch rate then. There's only about three that I think weren't fertile.

Here's a picture of the assisted hatch. He had piped the shell off a decent little chunk but not broke the thin membrane directly under the shell. He got through the one that he's snuggled up in though.
