Awww I'm sorry to hear that but I guess these kinds of things happen with broodies and probably for a very good reason. I really hope one of mine turns out to be broody, maybe even 2. I rather have broodies than lack of sleep - even if it means less chicks.You're able to come and go as you please and just check every once in awhile, I really don't have a life during incubation and ESPECIALLY during lockdown~!I just want to set it and forget it LOL![]()
Thanx for the support, yes Broodies it is for me! And I was agonizing what to do with the eggs (they seemed warm and alive to me, didnt want to toss them....) so I put them in a box filled with straw next to our Dryer to keep warm.... and the dang dogs got them! So it was decided for me. I didnt want them to suffer and I am sure it was quick those darn dogs.....
