set up a dirt bath

I was thinking I should wait until I've got cleaner stuff in the stove. I know I got rid of some junk mail since I cleaned it last. I was using nice clean soil in a large planter, but they've kicked it almost all out. I was thinking sand might allow them to get themselves cleaner..but a mix of sand and ash sounds somewhat more soothing. But you never know with those girls.

Might be best to only have wood that is not treated when it's burnt, no paper to be used. Just wood ash. You can get it from the produce stores too.
