Setting 26 eggs today (June 27th) Anyone else?

Congratulations Pippy! I think the D'Uccles are so pretty. I would love to have some, but we don't have the land to let them free range.

Cattitude-The parent are lavender and I'm not sure how the baby is black but I'm not a breeder or anything like that so i'm not sure..

Before leaving for work this morning, I checked the eggs because today is "the day". Nothing going on. How disappointing! Imagine my surprise when I got home from work in the afternoon and found six of the ten eggs had pipped

Can't wait to see if the other four are going to make it. Finally, a good batch of hatching eggs that came through the mail system in terrific shape. Now to get ready for the new arrivals. Hopefully everyone makes it through the rest of the process!

Pippy, glad the one made it! Hatching time is so exciting. Just hope one or both cochin moms are willing to be relocated to lower quarters so I don't have babies falling out of the upper nesting boxes.

Right now we have about 5 or 6 pipping! It's really hard to keep up with! That would be bad if they fell

I have 2-1/2 dozen guinea eggs on day 23. I'm hoping I actually get a hatch this time, since last time, out of 18, only 1 hatched.

However, I'm hopeful! A few days ago the thermostat went nuts (do I have a poltergeist around her maybe?) and temp went up to 103.5F Holy moly! I opened the top and cooled it as fast as I could. I hope that didn't kill them off.

Hate to do an hourly report, but one chick made it out, and the seventh egg has pipped. Only one more egg needs to pip. The one whose out looks like a buff cochin. Very cute. Will post pics as soon as more have decided to join #1.
