I hear a tapping sound ?!!!!!!!!

I put 8 Black Blue Splash Ameraucana eggs in lock down a couple of days ago because they looked pretty far along compared to the golden buff orpington eggs which are going into lock down today. I think I might get some little fuzzy peepers soon

I have 3 in lockdown..had one that didn't develop past a few days, lost another a couple of days ago. We have no power thanks to irene, have a generator but it will only run my bator not bator and hatcher....and I have 6 eggs due next week and 12 due in a week and a half.....guess ill have to hatch these 3 in the bator and pray the humidity doesn't mess up my other eggs.

Trying to get a spot to stay at a 100* with a heat lamp so I can take out the ones not due.

I set mine 12 and 13th i went into lockdown for the 5 13th eggs today and my babys should hatch Fri and Sat i cant wait since a neighbors neighbor son gave us some eggs and they are dark brown and he said the chickens were gray so im curious to see what is going to hatch out ^_^ i wonder what all chickens are gray

edit: omg one of the eggs the neighbors friend gave us its pipped a hole!! dang and its only day 19 for the little chick i put him in lockdown yesterday with the rest of the 12th eggs im sitting on my bed and i hear a cheep i thought oh good that means one has broken into the air sac i look down and see a crack im temped sooo bad to open it and peel away the cracked part so that i could see into the egg and what color the feathers are cause i have 11 that arent from our chickens and 7 that are

so its day 19 and i just went into lockdown i was a day off

but i got all the eggs on the screen and i heard one chirping

and there is a peep in another egg so maybe i will have some fuzzy butts in the morning yeah

Just put my 5 eggs into lockdown. I wait until day 19 to move the eggs out of my Octagon 20 advance ex incubator and into the Genesis 1588 for hatching. I like them to have as long as they can in the best incubator. I stop the turner on day 18 but don't up my humidity until day 19. This has worked well for me
