She is a light sussex... She is currently sitting on 12 eggs again, lets hope she does better than the first time (when she killed her first 4 chicks!!!)
eksterhuis, everytime I see your avatar I'm struck by that beautiful chicken; what is she ?

Candled today... a bit disappointing... 1 sussex, 2 silver campine, 3 frizzle, 3 pekins and a silkie taken out... Lets hope they were all roosters! 1/6 of the hatch removed already!

Oh but I do have some good news! Came home to another broody pair of silkies have hatched some Faverolles early!!! (began hatching at 19 1/2 days!)

I have to say... I just LOVED being at work and still getting to glance through the glass of my incubator. Surprisingly not a single one of them moved or anything!

Everybody thoroughly made fun of me, but watch them ask me for a link when hatch time comes. :)

so very cute, I'm envious. I'll have my own soon enough. I kinda like the list of chickens you can have in NZ, but I guess I understand the feeling like your missing something.

That's great! It's amazing how fascinating some inert eggs laying in an incubator can be!
