Setting Eggs 3/10 or 3/11 - Join Me?

This year I only have pips very early on day 21! I am used to having this happen around a day earlier. Oh, well. Seems like they're doing well. I've actually never had eggs hatch a little late. Does anyone think this will be a problem?

Woke up this morning to two pips, and an hour later, a third! I heard some adorable cheeping, too. So far, no more pips and no zips yet. It can take a while, I know.

Can't wait to post fluffy chick pics!

We had a rocking chick for the last two days. but today i don't see it moving anymore. today is day 21. is this normal???

Two pips in the incubator this morning and they are cheeping to each other. Maybe they are having a contest to see who zips first!!! Right now their eggs are on opposite sides of the incubator.

We also have a SS who has been staying in the nesting box for a few days. I put two EE eggs under her last evening and this morning she is hunkered down in broody mode. We will have to watch for stolen eggs, I'm sure two eggs will not satisfy her.

Perfectly normal. The chick was wiggling into the right position, and now you just have to sit and wait.....

Mine always rock on Day 18 and 19, and then stop completely until pipping.

We have a baby! The first chick (a Buff Orpington) was just born around 3:30p. Six other eggs are pipped, and at least one of those has started zipping. Will post pics of the new little wet/tired baby as soon as my camera cooperates.

It's a noisy little thing.
