setting eggs 6/8/15

I candle on day 7, 14, and 17. Then on day 18 remove Turner and add water to channel 1 about half way full... Then pull both red plugs and put two crumpled up paper towels under und holes where I took out red plug Then I slowly add water to those paper towels and other channels using a medicine syringe and rubber hose.. this part is never the same because the humidity in my room during different times of year is always different...but from day18 until some start to hatch I don't open it

Im using the LG 10300! Its been running for 3 days and the temps on my two thermometers just stabilized -_- Ive never used it before so im nervous! Im setting 12 Trader Joes eggs, they are right at 14 days so im not really expecting anything out of them. Ill be setting 2 cornishxBarred rocks, 3 rslXbarred rock and 3 silver spangled hamburgXbarred rock!

Good luck..you never know what will happen..hopefully you get a good hatch rate... Which I'm sure you will...you got the better version of mine ....the last eggs I just hatched were ones that were outside for 11 days in the nesting box because I was leaving them there trying to get my hens to go Broody abd after it wasn't working I brought them in and started them in my incubator

Thank you..Idk why people don't like them ..I love this incubator you just gotta figure out what works for you and get different gauges is the key cuz I love the incubator but don't trust it's gauges

I'm fairly happy with mine holds temp well.my biggest issue has been humidity. We had an unusually wet may Here in tx but June is looking to be dry. So far humidity in my bator is running 28-35 temp between 99 &102.so I'm happy.

Sounds like you got this down.. I'm in Texas to I live about thirty miles from Austin. .

Mine is easy to get humidity right cuz I just keep adding.more with a rubber house till I get where I want but I use two other hygrometers cuz the one that came with my incubator has a malfunction...it stays at saying 45% but then every now in then you'll catch it abd it well be exactly what the other two say..

I hope so but so far I've only had 3 hatch out of about 50:( but that was due to humidity. This time just to be on safe side ill hatch eggs standing up.an stop turner on day 14in hopes that they'll be able to position them selves easier.

I hope the flooding wasn't too bad down your way. I didn't hear much about Austin

I have been using sponges, water doesn't absorb properly. Paper towel sounds like a good idea. Good luck with your hatch!

I had three in mine the other day.all three read the same before I put them in.but were between 19 an 40 so I brought in the one from my weather station an it read inbetween the two.so I went with it an will check air cells day 7 14 an 18

I wouldn't stop turning on day 14 that's a long period that they will be stationary and you take the chance of then getting stuck to the egg shell then when there born they will tear there blood vessels and skin when hatching and bleed to death
