Setting eggs August 2 -- anyone else?

As long as we are confessing.... While my incubator has been going, I had one not being used and decided to order more eggs. I didn't pay close attention to how many I ordered and now I have 56 eggs and only one incubator open! I ordered in the first place for my guy whose birthday is soon..he wants BLRW. I thought..I would get a few for me too. BAD! BAD! Now I am in a pickle.

Im really enjoying getting my incubating fix through this thread. Im out of town but have eggs in the bator at home (currently on day 9). I am dying to know how they are doing. My BF has been dutifully checking on them for me and despite the crazy heat wave in Seattle, the temp and humidity have stayed constant in our cool damp basement. I havent been able to convince him to try candling. But I suppose its probably for the best, (not sure I trust him with that delicate task). I cant wait to candle monday when I get home!!

Im already lusting over eggs for my next batch. . . thinking of Blue Rocks, Marraduna Basque (EO), and maybe a few adorable little Serama eggs. . .

Sounds like you're just going to have to buy a new incubator....lol!

I got nine bad Serama eggs from an ebay seller in Florida. A few were so filthy I can't imagine how she must've been keeping her nests. I hope you have better luck if you decide to try.

I want the Basques, too. I already have some Ameraucana eggs coming when this hatch is over. I keep telling myself I won't order more eggs to put in with them. My resolve is not so impressive right now. I may try to track down some more Cream Legbar eggs, since it looks like I will only get one (or maybe none) from this hatch. And my daughter wants Mille Fleur D'Uccles...

I have 14 eggs that will go into lockdown on Monday. Only 7 Speckled Sussex, 2 Salmon Favrolles, 4 Ameraucana, and 1 from our chickens....I'm kinda interested in how this one turns out. It's my Lemon Cuckoo Orpington roo over a Sicilian Buttercup. I've tried looking at the color genetics chicken calculator...but I really don't get a picture of what the chick might end up looking like. I set it to check his fertility. Time to set up a breeding pen for the Lemons =)

1st chick is an araucana x cuckoo maran
Next one almost out is a hybrid x cuckoo maran

My last batch were Olive Eggers, Blue Cuckoo Marans over EE's. They are very interesting. Some have beard and muffs, most have feathered shanks. All but one are blue.
Congrats =)
