Setting eggs June 3rd. Need hatching buddies! Lets have some fun!

Just quickly candled while turning eggs, i know its a little early (day 4) but I just couldent wait another second! I have what look to be like really dark 1/2 circles and a little dark spot above that (maybe and eye??) in 9 out if 10. Im going to check a little better when it gets dark. This is my first harch so i really dont know what im lookin for but a big change from the day i put them in!! My temp and humidity is staying exactally where its supose to be which suprises me sence my incubator hasnt been used in 12+ years. So far so good!!!

Argh! This is my second hatch (after my first, failed attempt with four eggs, and three were unfertilized and I cracked all of them open!) and I'm having a dilemma.

I've heard that most eggs on Day 3, you can see the spider-web of blood vessels when you candle them. I CANNOT SEE NOTHING in any of my 8 eggs. They all have a dark spot which floats to the top every time I turn the eggs, and one has an especially larger black area than the others. But no blood vessels that I can see?! Should I give up... :/ or wait a few more days. When is a definative day that the blood vessels should show up in candling?

I'd wait till 7 and think about throwing then..... we don't pitch anything unless it's not moving when it was before, smells bad, or has a definitive blood ring... Ooooh or is just down right not fertile.

Now I am happy and satisfied. I turned my eggs and it only took about an hour or so for my temp to stabilize right back at 100 (egg level) 99 on the wall.

Day 1 rough, day 2 started rough, ending well.

I bought the little giant too. I went to staples and got a antec computer fan replacement (has 3 speeds on the fan control) and hooked it into my car battery charger clamps for the power to run it (red wire to positive and black to negative, white wire is hooked to nothing) and it worked fine last hatch and had a great hatching rate(if that had anything to do with it).Ive heard the same about still air not having as good hatching rate but Im so like a newbie Id have no clue on the truth on that. If your worried about the still air its alot cheaper way to have a fan in it and was easy to put in. I went to lowes and got little size 6-32x3/4 machine bolts, nuts and washers (washers - to keep the nuts from going thru the styrofoam and ripping it up) to attach it to the inside of my llittle giant. I used extra nuts on the inside to space the fan just alittle away from the styrofoam to give alittle more air circulation. I wish I knew how to post a pic so you could see because its real easy, ya just have to becareful getting the bolts thru the styrofoam when your placing the fan where it should be. Anyhoo mine works great and the $12.00 altogether was a better price then the 50.00 they wanted for the regular fan for it and had to wait until TSC got it sent to them, although since I think I seen them on ebay. I just thought I should let ya know you have a option kinda thing if your worried is all.

How long did it take your little giant to stabilize?

I think that I lost my dark colored egg, which is a black silkie, tough to see though even in the dark. I checked my Brinsea Bator and I had a hard time seeing the chick move in the other black silkie egg. I think that I will wait a few more days before making a decision....I'd hate to be wrong and have the chick be completely fine.
