, just in time to put eggs that need to be turned into so that I can leave my lockdown eggs in the current 'bator - talk about timing. One batch of Delaware eggs arrived today, so hopefully second group will be in tomorrow so they can all go in together.

Not done hatching yet!

LOL! Mine went into lockdown this morning, too, and I admit: I reiki'd each egg before I closed up the incubator.

Cant hurt, right?

I have 9 EE's and 13 MF d'Uccles in lockdown starting today but then also have 16 Americauna's that are about 9 days behind them

I'm worried about having to turn those guys. I know that once the babies start hatching it won't be a big deal because they will be climbing and turning them but I've got 2-3 days until that happens..

Anyone else have experience with this? I almost bought another still air incubator to use as a hatcher but they are 56$ at my local feed store..

I was worried about that myself, that's why I sprung for the genesis (that's my excuse anyway

). I don't think not turning them for a few days is so bad, I read about people who forget to plug the turners in for half their hatch and still do alright.

11 eggs made it to lockdown in the bator lastnight. I have seen 4 fuzzy butts poking there heads out from under my mother hen. I'm so happy hers are hatching. We had some strong winds turn our ckn tractor on its side last week. So, I was afraid they wouldn't make it.
