Good luck hatching everyone!!! Mine are due the 28th. I am hatching Japs and Cochins. PG&E came by yesterday and wanted to shut my power off for a while to change out meters. EKKKK. I told him that 'I am sorry but you will have to come back in the begining of July" LOL!! he was very understanding. Thank Goodness!!!!

Count me in - I have some silkie eggs from Marie Martin set under my broodies that are about 3-4 days along and I set some cochin eggs from DANNY plus all the green and brown eggs I had last night. So today is day one for me.

ETA - This will *probably* be my last hatch this summer, I think, maybe, we'll see how it goes...

My husband is an enabler - he sees me sell the chicks and then says - Hey why don't you just incubate some more - you get more money for the eggs than selling them for eating.

I'm jealous. Everyone has already started. I just received my eggs today. All 12 arrived unbroken. I'm going to let them rest today and set them tomorrow morning.

It looks like I've got 6 Mottled Houdan, 3 White Crested Blue Polish, and 3 Buff Laced Polish.

so I will hopefully have some top hats also.

two of my hens went broody last night, this is their second clutch, and they started their first one at the same time too. So now i have 5 broodies, i havent really incubated as much this year as i did last year cuase my hens have been doing it for me, but i will watch all you guys hatch lol

I set 40 chicken eggs and 8 guinea eggs around 2 am. I have mixed hopes for these eggs... hoping I get lots of chickies, and that the guinea eggs aren't fertile. I know it sounds weird, but I only have the guinea hen and if hers are fertile, that means they will be the freaky looking guinea-chicken hybrid things LOL!
