Setting eggs on 7/15/2011 anyone want to join me

Lol omg I am such a nerd. I forgot that I am following this thread because of the eggs I set on the 15th, my ameraucana eggs. I also have marans eggs that I set on the 10th. Lol sorry about that!
Boy I can't even keep my eggs straight! Good thing I have post it notes with my eggs set, lockdown and hatch dates. Knowing my I might put the wrong eggs into lockdown. Lol!

Yes it has been only 4 days. I did not candle those eggs yet. I gotta go find a support group for my set on the 10th eggs.

I had my Broody get off the nest for almost 45 min!! I was very worried but the temp was so high I guess all is well. I placed 15 eggs and she had 20!!!! Little thief!

Has anyone candled their eggs yet? I am debating candling on friday (7th day) or waiting for 10 days. What is everyone else planning? My first batch of eggs I candled a LOT and only had one chick hatch. So going to try the opposite with this batch... candling/handling as little as possible.. and see if that makes a difference.

15 are BBS Ameraucana and 3 backyard mix.

Yes, blue/black/splash. I got them from a BYC member, Dipsy Doodle Doo, who lives fairly close by. I hadn't intended to incubate eggs for awhile, but when I realized I could pick-up the eggs, how could I resist.

I've been trying to get blue egg layers for awhile now. My first try with 3 EE eggs, I got 2 roosters. My second try was most disappointing because of the 6 bluewheaten/wheaten Ameraucana eggs I bought, 5 were clears and I hatched 1 roo.

Hoping for the best now.
